If you are looking for a storage shelter that will last a long time and will be able to handle all kinds of inclement weather, then an enclosed steel carport would be a good idea, especially if you live in an area that snows for winter.  You can find some carports and sheds made from galvanized steel that come with 20-year warranties; check the warranty to see what the fine print is to know exactly how much it covers.  All in all, however, steel carport sheds are about the strongest and most durable you can get. Although, if you are simply looking for something to cover a vehicle and stored items from too much sun and a bit of rain now and then, a canopy carport shed is quite a bit cheaper and it is the easiest to have installed as well.
