If you do not have a traditional garage and are considering getting a carport, you will need to think about the type of carport foundation you want to have. It is easier to clear of snow and debris and is also smoother to drive on. Blacktop driveways generally need to be resurfaced periodically while the cement ones are generally set for years. If you have a very large front yard area, you can also have a U-shaped drive installed with a drive-thru carport area. Whether your home is large or small, a carport can be constructed to accommodate what you need.
