Getting a prefabricated carport (or prefab carport as they are more commonly known) is a good way to get a cheap and easy to set up carport.  There are a very wide variety of pre fab carports available on the market; they are made out of aluminum, steel, fiberglass and cloth to name just a few options.  Prefab carport kits are easy to use and easy to set up yourself, although it is highly advisable that you get either a friend or family member to help you as this makes it not only easier but also safer to set up the pre fab carport.  However, the good news is prefab carports are made especially to be easy for pretty much anyone to set up and they come with detailed instructions of how to do it.

Getting a carport is a good way to protect either your vehicle, pet or pets, greenhouse or other outdoor items from inclement weather or other things that would damage or dirty them.  The first step to getting a carport of any kind is to measure whatever it is that you will cover and see how big and how high the carport needs to be.  You will want to take careful, detailed measurements before you go shopping for a carport.

While there are different materials that carports are made from, as was mentioned above, a prefab metal carport is a good idea if you want something that is long lasting and yet not too expensive.  Prefab metal carports are not as easy to set up as the cloth canopy ones, but they are easy enough and they last a lot longer than the cloth canopy ones too.  Getting one made from light weight steel is likely to be your best bet if you are looking for a good metal shelter.
