When installing your metal canopy carport, make sure that you follow all of the manufacturer’s recommendations.  You should always begin by preparing the installation location fully.  Before you begin setting up the pieces, make sure you remove all debris and that the surface is level.  Next you should place all of the pieces or components in piles so each step is well planned before you begin assembly.  Small metal carport canopies that are open and simple in design usually only take a few hours to assembly and anchor down in place.  Larger or enclosed shelters will take a little longer because you will have to deal with more pieces and steps during the process.

Most companies offer professional installation of their products.  If you choose to let a professional crew install your metal carport and canopy, make sure that the work is covered under some kind of warranty should the shelter need maintenance in the future.  Most companies do offer such a warranty but some don’t so you will need to shop carefully.  Something as small as a leaky roof could cost you more time and money which can easily be taken care of under a warranty with no other expenses on your end.
